VAN VS. P&L SEMI TRUCK ON ESCALON BELLOTA ROAD AT MARIPOSA ROAD.

ESCALON, CALIFORNIA.

1:18pm – A non-injury accident happened when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Escalon Bellota Road at Mariposa Road this afternoon.  The accident involved a Radio Station Van and a P&L Concrete Products Truck.  Both drivers seemed to be uninjured.

The California Highway Patrol and Escalon Police Department were dispatched to the scene. Escalon Police Officers provided traffic control until CHP’s arrival.

The accident between the van and truck occurred when the driver of the van attempted to turn left from the stop sign on Escalon Bellota Road to continue onto Escalon Bellota Road in a southbound direction.  The driver of the van either did not see the truck coming or misjudged the speed/direction of the truck.  The truck was traveling northbound on Escalon Bellota Road and was just rounding the curve on to Mariposa Road when the collision occurred.

The roadway was not closed, but there were some traffic delays due to the debris in the roadway.  McDowell Tow Service was dispatched to tow the van.

The roadway has been cleared and is open.
