Modesto, CA – Vehicle Collision Leaves Pedestrian Deceased on Saturday Night, Witnesses Being Sought.

Modesto, CA- On July 30th, at about 8:45 PM, officers responded to 9-1-1 calls of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Tully Road, north of Standiford Ave. Upon arrival, they found a female with fatal injuries in the roadway. 

The early investigation indicates that the female, who is a 67 year old Modesto resident, was crossing in the 3700 Block of Tully Rd. The 37 year old Hollister resident was driving his Toyota Camry northbound on Tully Rd from Standiford Ave. The events leading up to the collision are still under investigation however, there were no signs of drug or alcohol impairment on behalf of the driver. 

The female has been indentified however; her name is being withheld at this time as we attempt to locate her next of kin. Our Traffic Officers continue to process evidence and seek for additional witnesses in this collision.
