THREE ARRESTED IN MODESTO HOME INVASION ROBBERY AND CARJACKING.

Modesto, CA – Three Modesto men were arrested following a home invasion robbery and an attempted carjacking in northeast Modesto.
At about 3:10 p.m. yesterday, police personnel responded to a 9-1-1 call of a robbery near Dorado Lane and Swain Drive. During the investigation detectives learned three suspects broke into a residence on Swain Drive where one of them brandished a handgun at a teenage boy who was home alone. The teen’s father pulled up to his residence to find a car speed from his driveway and away from the area. Shortly after the car leaving, the three suspects exited his home and pointed a gun at him before fleeing the area on foot.
The suspects approached a female victim who was sitting inside her car on Dorado Lane. The victim sped away from the suspects after one of them pointed a gun at her. Officers coming into the area immediate detained two of the suspects and recovered a handgun and extended magazine. Shortly after a search for the 3rd suspect began, he was found hiding in the yard of a residence on Dorado Lane.
Christopher Garcia, 19 years old, Leo Gallego, 18 years old, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested for attempted carjacking, assault with a deadly weapon, home invasion robbery, use of a firearm during the commission of a crime and conspiracy.
