TURLOCK POLICE SHOOTING INVESTIGATION 


TURLOCK, CALIFORNIA 

On Thursday, August 18, 2016, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Turlock Police Department responded to the intersection of High Street and Lane Street for a report of an aggravated assault. Once officers arrived, they found an adult male victim who had sustained what appeared to be at least one gunshot wound. The victim was treated at a nearby hospital. His current condition is stable and the injuries to do not appear to be life threatening.  

Through the course of this investigation, it was determined the victim was shot in an alley near the intersection of Caster Street and S. Laurel Street. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time and there is no suspect information available. The firearm that was involved was not recovered at the scene and is still outstanding. 

Turlock Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance regarding the circumstances surrounding this shooting. The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. No additional information is available at this time, due to this being a fresh and active investigation. Once more information becomes available, additional press releases will be provided.
