One Arrested For Stolen Pickup
News Release by Escalon Police Department
On September 6th at 11:28 PM Officer Quilici made a traffic stop on the 1998 Chevrolet pickup that was driving at a high rate of speed on California Street. He observed the pickup also fail to stop at the sign at California and Elizabeth Avenue. The pickup finally came to a stop at Justin and Jessica Circle, and as he approached the vehicle was advised by our dispatch that the vehicle was reported stolen. The pickup was reported stolen on September 5th, at 8:20 AM, to the California Highway Patrol out of the City of Arnold, in Contra Costa County.
Officer Price arrived to assist him and they took the driver and sole occupant into custody without incident. The driver was Marion Edwards, 23 years of age from Oakdale. She was arrested for auto theft, possession of stolen property and driving without a license. She was booked into the San Joaquin County jail.
