Escalon Fire Department’s “Fill the Boot for Burns” Event Recognized by the Firefighters Burn Institute.
Escalon, California – September 22, 2016.
It was a great year for the Escalon Fire Department’s “Fill the Boot for Burns” drive.
The leader this year was Volunteer Firefighter Jennifer Cannon and she did an amazing job. Her leadership drove the station to over $23,000 for the Burn Institute.
The department had a new addition to “Fill the Boot” this year in the way of Sparky the new department mascot. Sparky was played by two of the department’s reserves this year. Reserve Firefighters Rigo Fonseca and Adam Diaz played the part of Sparky.
Thank you to the Firefighters, Reserves and Volunteers that took time away from their families and friends to work on a hot summer day for such a great cause.
Escalon Fire Department dropped off a total of $23,785.00 on June 03, 2016 that they raised at their Firefighter’s “Fill the Boot for Burns”.
