Hit and Run Driver Wanted in Fatal Traffic Collision
Tracy, Calif. – On October 7, 2016 at approximately 11:50 PM, a gold or tan GMC Yukon was involved in a traffic collision with a motorcyclist at the intersection of 11th Street and Lincoln Boulevard.
The motorcyclist was killed in the collision, and was identified as Lewis Casey (age 21) from Tracy, California. Lewis was a Manteca, California resident for 20 years, and recently moved to Tracy.
The driver of the GMC Yukon, identified as Liset Palafox (age 31), fled the scene in her GMC Yukon. There is a felony hit and run arrest warrant for Palafox and the Tracy Police Department is asking anyone with information concerning Palafox’s location, to contact the Tracy Police Department and/or their local law enforcement agency.
Palafox is described as a 31-year-old Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5’4” tall and weighs approximately 200 lbs. Palafox’s GMC Yukon has not been located.
The vehicle will likely have major driver-side body damage at the back of the vehicle and may also be missing its driver-side tail lamp assembly. The GMC Yukon was displaying dark-colored paper license plates with light-colored lettering on the front.
The cause of this collision is still under investigation by the Tracy Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit. No other details about the collision will be released at this time.
