Escalon Fire has Another Successful Christmas Toy Giveaway.

Members of the Escalon Fire Department, American Legion Post 263 and other volunteers were on hand yesterday morning to sort, organize, and hand out donated gifts to this year’s participants of the Annual Toy Giveaway.

Escalon Fire personnel have this event down to a science. They had their list of participants and were checking it twice. The giveaway went smoothly and without problems because of the early morning preparations by staff and volunteers. The staff and volunteers enjoyed treats, hot coffee and had fun handing out the gifts to the appreciative families.

The families started lining up around 8:45 a.m. outside of the firehouse and because of the rainy weather, the giveaway started early. There are 70 families and approximately 169 children having a merrier Christmas this year because of the generous members of the community that donated gifts to the Escalon Fire Department’s Toy Drive.
