Auto Thief Busted

Stolen 2012 Toyota Camry


MANTECA, CALIFORNIA.

Stanislaus County Auto Theft Task Force located a 2012 Toyota Camry parked at the Don Pedro Motel in Salida, CA. The vehicle had been reported stolen to Modesto Police Department.

While watching the vehicle a male subject entered the vehicle and fled the area at a high rate of speed. StanCATT requested the assistance of California Highway Patrol and the Stanislaus Sheriff’s Office. Due to the fact the fleeing driver was speeding and driving recklessly, the pursuit was terminated.

A citizen who witnessed the pursuit notified authorities that the vehicle and suspects were now located in the Target parking lot in Manteca, attempting to get a ride out of the area. 

Ismael Deleon, 35 years old.

Manteca PD located the suspect, Ismael Deleon, 35 y/o and placed him under arrest without incident. Deleon was booked into the Stanislaus County Men’s Jail on multiple felony counts including Felony Evading. The vehicle was returned to the owner.
