ESCALON, CALIFORNIA – FEBRUARY 17, 2017.

Escalon Police, Fire, and Public Works crews stayed busy today responding to downed powerlines, fallen trees, limbs and debris in the roadways.

Today’s winds wreaked havoc on city trees, fences, and powerlines causing power outages throughout the city. Some local businesses had to close their doors for most of the day because of the outages.

PG&E crews were called out to make repairs on lines. This is just round one of a series of storms predicted to hit the Escalon area in the next few days. It’s not too late to batten down the hatches and prepare for the next round. Here are just a few photos of today’s aftermath of the storm.
