Escalon, California – Two-Vehicle Collision on Santa Fe Road at Henry Road.

The accident was reported around 5:26 p.m. this evening and occurred on Santa Fe Road, at the intersection of Henry Road. California Highway Patrol, Escalon Fire Department, and Escalon Community Ambulance Services responded to the accident. The accident involved a black Super Duty Ford pick up truck and a black Acura 2.3CL. The California Highway Patrol is the primary investigating agency in this accident.

It appeared to emergency crews on scene that the driver of the black Acura was traveling northbound on Santa Fe Road and the black Ford pick up truck was traveling southwest on Henry Road and was stopped at the stop sign at Santa Fe Road. The driver of the Ford didn’t see the oncoming Acura for some reason and pulled out from the stop sign striking the passenger side of the vehicle. The impact sent the black Acura spinning out of control and it came to rest on the shoulder of the roadway in a grassy area. The Acura’s front airbags also deployed on impact.

The driver of the black Acura received cuts to the face and arms from the broken glass and was treated for minor injuries by Escalon emergency medical technicians. The driver and passenger of the black Ford truck appeared to be uninjured. No one was transported by ambulance from the crash site and it appeared no other vehicles had been involved in the accident.

The black pick up truck had moderate damage to the front end and the black Acura had major damage to the passenger side of the car. The accident caused minor delays for traffic at the intersection of Santa Fe Road and Henry Road. Both vehicles were off the roadway and on the west side shoulder of Santa Fe Road. There was also some debris in the intersection which caused minor issues. McDowell tow services were called out to tow at least one of the vehicles from the crash site.
