Escalon Police Weekly Activity Log for 05/08/17 – 05/15/17
On May 06, 2017 a business in the 1900 block of McHenry Avenue was burglarized and a vehicle was stolen. Officer Poortinga identified the suspect, Jose Meza Uribe, from surveillance video of the crime.
On May 13, 2017, Officers from the Escalon Police Department served a search warrant at Jose’s residence in the 2100 block of Franklin Street, in Escalon. During the warrant service, evidence from the burglary on McHenry Avenue, along with identity theft materials for six additional potential victims, suspected methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia were located.
Jose was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail where he was booked for 10851(a) VC, 459 PC, 470 PC, 530.5(c) PC, 530.5(e) PC, 11377(a) H&S, and 11364 H&S.
