Tourette’s Awareness Event
Tourette’s Awareness Event
Walkers are encouraged to join in the Tourette’s Awareness Event. Scheduled for Saturday, May 27, start time of 9:00am at the Main Street Park. The 5K course is mapped out through the community. The walk is designed to heighten community awareness about Tourette’s Syndrome. Participants typically walk the route, opposed to running it.
No pre-registration, no sign-ups needed and the walk is free. There are some fun kids activities planned along the route, including a scavenger hunt. Informational materials will be handed out to all participants and a few vendors will be there. There also will be a scholarship fund awarded at this Saturday’s event to a graduating Escalon High School student.
