Escalon Police Department’s Weekly Activity Log (10/02/17 – 10/08/17)
There have been several cases of graffiti/vandalism within the past week. We have taken reports on September 23, 2017 in the 1600 block of Second St., and 1700 block of Main St. Also on September 5, in the 1400 block of Main St. and on July 23, in the 1800 block of Coley. We believe one subject is responsible for these and other vandalism that has occurred in the city that is unreported. We have video obtained from a local business of the person we believed responsible and we are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. It is believe he has caused over a thousand dollars in damages.
The suspect appears to be either a Hispanic or White male adult with long dark hair (ponytail), wearing baggie clothing and possibly white and black sneakers. The graffiti consists in orange and at times black paint, with the words “CORN”.
If you have information about the identity of this subject please contact Detective Hardgraves at (209) 691-7358 or an on duty patrol officer by calling our non-emergency number at (209) 838-7093.
