Police Explorers in Action!

On September 21, 2018 Escalon Police Explorers Max Teague, Janessa Rodriguez, Christopher Rodriguez, Triston Brooks, Adrian Groves and Nathan Miranda volunteered 8 hours of their time to assist with the Stomp Out Cancer Event.
This event was held in Lodi, Mickie Grove Park, and was an event to raise funds for local area children affected by cancer.
Officer Ryan Smith the advisor for the unit, along with Officer Ben Harrison were also on hand to assist at the event. As the agency head, I was proud that our explorers took part in this event and commend them and their advisors for the example they set.
I was advised they were professional, motivated and hard working. They interacted with the public and children who were curious about law enforcement and the explorer program. The explorers worked well as a team and efficiently worked the grape stomp event. They did not complain and worked together to perform the required tasks assigned to them.
The event coordinator, Frank, told Officer Smith that our explorers were the best-behaved and most coordinated team he has seen in a long time. Frank was pleased with our agency’s assistance and requested that we assist with the event next year if we are able. Officer Smith also advised that he received numerous comments about the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by our explorer program from other members of the event.
