WeEscalon – Wednesday, February 06, 2019.
On Wednesday, February 06, 2019 at approximately 6:37 p.m. a collision occurred on Highway 120 at the intersection of Brennan Road. The accident involved a red Dodge van, silver GMC SUV, and a red Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Escalon Police Department, Escalon Fire Department, and Escalon Community Ambulance Services responded to the accident. The Escalon Police Department is the primary investigating agency in this accident.
From information gathered at the scene, the silver GMC was traveling west on Highway 120 approaching the intersection of Brennan Road. The driver of the red Dodge van pulled out from the stop sign on the south side of Brennan Road into the path of the silver GMC causing the collision. After the initial collision, both involved vehicles collided into the red Chevrolet pickup which was sitting at the stop sign on the north side of Brennan Road. The impact caused moderate to major damage to all three vehicles and left glass and other debris on the roadway.
Escalon Medical Emergency Technicians on scene checked all the occupants of the vehicles involved in the crash and the passenger of the red Dodge van complained of pain. That person was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries. It appeared no other vehicles had been involved in the crash. Lighting in the area, attention, and distance judgement may have been a factor in this collision. It appeared drugs and/or alcohol was not a factor.
All three vehicles came to rest on the north side of the Highway causing minor delays on Highway 120. Tow services were called out to remove all three vehicles from the roadway. Once the vehicles and debris had been cleared from the roadway, traffic returned to normal.
