Escalon Traffic Accident McHenry Avenue and Highway 120.

March 14, 2019.

WeEscalon – This accident occurred at approximately 7:15 AM on McHenry Avenue at the intersection of Highway 120.  Escalon Police Units, Escalon Fire Department, and Escalon Community Ambulance Services responded to this morning’s accident.  Escalon Police Department is the primary investigating agency in this collision.  

The accident involved at least two known vehicles.  The first vehicle being a tan Honda CRV and the second vehicle being a dark colored Nissan Altima.  The direction of travel for both vehicles is still under investigation.  There was a possible unknown third vehicle that had fled the scene.  It was also possible either the driver and/or passengers of one of the vehicles fled the scene before emergency personnel arrived.  One person was detained, checked by medical technicians, and place in the back of a patrol unit.  It appeared no one was transported by ambulance.

The accident did cause some delays to the morning commute.  Both vehicles had moderate to major damage and were towed away by local tow services.  McDowell and Davis tow services did quick work removing the damaged vehicles and getting the roadway reopened.
