Citizen Report of Drug Activity In Front of Elementary School Leads To Arrest

RIPON, CALIFORNIA

On 08-17-16, at approximately 1:20 pm, an alert citizen called the police department to report a suspect was reportedly smoking marijuana in front of the Ripon Christian Elementary School on Maple Avenue.

Ripon officers were immediately dispatched to the school. Prior to the arrival of responding officers, the concerned citizen advised police dispatch that the suspect was now reportedly smoking marijuana in front of the Ripon Elementary School on Main Street.

Within minutes Ripon officers located the suspect near the intersection of Main Street and Walnut Avenue. The suspect, Dylan Dean Caulfield (37) of Modesto, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and narcotics paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to the police department. Caulfield was later released on a misdemeanor citation.
